  • Finally! After so many days/weeks/months of hard work, no sleep, sweat, pain, blood and whatnots, our magazine, BOLD, is finally completed and handed in on friday. Thank god, really, because I've never felt so relieved in my entire life before, and I've never treasured sleep that much before either. Don't belittle this 20-page magazine here because you have no idea how much work was put into producing this little baby, this expensive baby...

So yes, it's sunday again and after today, tomorrow's officially the start of the last week of year 2 school (minus the fact that we've got exams to study for), but omg I honestly can't wait for wednesday next week because after wednesday, we've officially ended our projects/assignments and what nots, and then I can go shopping for my chinese new year clothes without any worries (it's not the time to worry about exams yet), and not think about anything other than just having fun - which i have been having the entire weekend!

This weekend has been awesome for one damn obvious reason - no more photoshop/indesign for feature writing. Enough of harping on feature writing/school, but honestly, I'm so so so relieved! After handing in magazine on friday, went to greatworldcity for dinner at kushinbo w family and agnes jiejie and soonheng korkor. It was so awesome I swear, that meal really made up for the lack of proper meals during the entire week we were rushing work. I ate 5 bowls of scallop ginseng porridge, 20 crab leg/pincer thingums, shabu shabu, and many other random things here and there. For dessert it was like cream puffs, ice cream and hot hot hot sake which was so good.

Saturday was last k-class in the afternoon, and then early reunion dinner with family, adele and boklai of which we had wine and cognac and then after that I went to Clarke Quay to meet kenny. Pub-hopped from Highlander to Mulligans to Clinic to Indochine. Awesome night I must say! We tried the cranberry vodka syringe thingy from Clinic which was pretty amazing I must say, given that I'm not a big fan of vodka. And then at Indochine, there was this -14 degrees celsius cold room. By the end of the night, the both of us were quite nua already after pub-hopping, and doing crazy stuff, so we nua-ed a little more and headed to the cold room after that to experience the cold. Only vodka shots were available inside. Imagine the coldness we felt, hands couldn't stop trembling and I swear the shot-glasses were all shaky and all that as well. Thank god it was just a short 5 minutes, any longer and I think we could have died! Good experience though! Chilled a little while and watched the reverse bungee in action by the river before heading home.

Today, woke up at 12 .. nua-ed .. nua-ed some more ... nau-ed a little more and watched Hachiko: A Dog's Tale. Most beautiful movie ever I must say! I couldn't stop crying. I didn't even attempt to control myself from crying, I just locked my room door and wailed wailed and wailed ... and after that movie, I just laid on my bed, feeling sad ... and then I went back to sleep again. Damn unproductive day I must say, but hey! I'm definitely not complaining. It's so stress-free and relaxing to spend sundays like that ... I like i like i like! I wish every sunday could be like that.

Exactly one more week to CNY/Valentine's, and honestly speaking ... I'm not looking forward to it as much anymore ... oh well. Bye!

I know I haven't been blogging that regularly, but which the ginormous amount of workload we have, it's really impossible to have the time to sleep, much less blog. Plus, ever since we all had twitter, blogging seems really .... i don't know unnecessary? Oh well.

Had our first editorial photoshoot which was the last photoshoot (hopefully) for BOLD yesterday afternoon. Photos looked alright on the camera then but then on the computer it looked really really bad because of the lights. But we have to make do with what we have because we have no time to do other photoshoots! Had milestone#2 for webdesign yesterday as well, even though it was not the final presentation, we had to dress up and all that shizzles. Thank god presentation wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - although there's still a lot of stuff that we'd have to re-do and improve on for final presentation which is ... two weeks from now. Really hope we don't screw up because i really don't want to re-take webd all over again and go through all this shit all over again; it's just not worth it.

Honestly can't wait for the studybreak/holidays to come. 2 more weeks to study break and 1 more month to the holidays. 1 more month to the end of year 2, how fast how very fast time passes by. Have been searching online for places to chill and relax (maldives, bintan, taiwan etc) during the holidays because this holiday is going to be the last holiday ever for my poly life if the interview with the YOG organisers go well. This year seems to pass really quickly. It was just 2009, and now it's going to be the second month of 2010 already! Everything just seems to zoom past so quickly. Pretty soon, we'll have to be choosing our electives, the end of the holidays, the start of year 3 sem 1, the end of sem 1, YOG, and then the start of internship. Internship. The word itself seems so daunting, it feels really scary and intimidating to be out in the workforce. I'm still not prepared for it, still want to be protected in school ... in simple words, I'm still not ready to spread my wings and fly. (HAHA)

It being almost the second year of 2010 also means another thing - CNY is coming. Argh, I haven't really bought all my CNY clothes/necessities yet, with so much assignments due and milestones to overcome and all that school shizzles where to find the time to go and buy clothes? But honestly, as ironic as it seems, I really can't wait for CNY to come because it always means one thing - munny munny munny hehe, just the thought of it makes me really really happy. It's good to be happy because MCM never fails to make us miserable .... Plus I already know what to spend my munny on, see I plan my finances! It's always better to plan right right right? Oh and as for the new year resolution concerning Frugality? All I can say is, don't ever make new year resolutions!!

So many things to do, so little time. Have to finish up magazine design by tonight and print it tomorrow argh wish me luck I really hope I can finish. I can, I must, I will!! Really thank god it's thursday, because thursday = stay at home/sleep-in and do work later day.

  • Yesterday was grandpa's birthday so we went to this far far far away restaurant to eat dinner. Dinner was okay I guess, but I didn't really fancy the food there except for the noodles, the fish and ... the scallops omg it was so goooood, no one else was eating because they were all singing karaoke (we were in a private vip room) so I was the only one there gobbling down allll the food, which reminds me, I really really really have to stop eating so much!!!

So today, i had many plans, i wanted to watch daybreakers (REALLY MUST WATCH. X100000000000! Who's up?), wanted to eat korean bbq, wanted to go noraebang, wanted to play l4d, wanted to go make new spectacles (but haven't decided on what kind yet), wanted to go shopping, so after much consideration and deliberation ... and walking and re-considering and whatnots, we finally ended up eating bbq ... which was a pretty bad choice because at the end of the night, we had bbq and oil smell all over our body which led to us running all over the mall trying to find for a perfume store to spray on ourselves.

Sunday tomorrow, grr, feel really guilty for not doing anything school-related this weekend, tomorrow I will do, tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow .... byebye!
