  • Last fri was open house at Lyd's place, her mom whipped up really good hokkien mee and pigs in a blanket (at least i think that's what it's called). Oh, and we played DJ hero and her dog raccoon provided us w entertainment.

This big wolf here that can pass off as taylor lautner in twilight is raccoon and he's unbelievably still a puppy! He's only 8 months old and he can still grow bigger!! I'm normally not afraid of dogs (really love dogs), but this dog was .. quite scary the way it charged at visitors when we came to the house. But still, cute cute and I love! The funniest thing was Xuan's reaction when raccoon came near her omg funny!

Sat was open house at my place, mom whipped up spaghetti for lunch, bakkutteh and sushi for dinner. Played mahjong for a few hours w delly, mere&jerome. Xuan, Jill and Lyds nua-ed on my bed most of the time ... while kin was teaching marcus how to play yellow by coldplay on the piano.

Sunday and Monday I just nua-ed at home, with my VLC player switched on 24/7, totally didn't have the motivation whatsoever to study at all (it was so bad!), but whatever at least PR's done and over. I will start on commiss after I finish procrastinating ... commiss exam on fri and after that i'll be as free as a bird (until april at least). Oh why oh why god, why am I not graduating this year why why wai wai wai?

Yesterday was PR exam, woke up early and went down to the salon to remove my extensions (finally!!), because I was playing with them the night before and suddenly five or six of them got tangled up so badly underneath I just had to do something about it. Oh well, at least I'm at least 1kg lighter now, but my hair ... is so short and I'm sad! I hope it grows le sigh!

    Photobucket

Driving later on, and then have to head down to town to run some errands and then cityhall to meet delly and then airport! Sigh, quite sad that kimchipeepzx not in stinkapore already ...

Fourth day of CNY (wednesday) was open house at Xuan's place, as usual her house was filled to the brim w food and more food. The amount of food available at her house is crazy I swear. If a war was to happen here, I think the food can last her for like half a year or her family would be in charge of giving out food rations or something. Plus that's only all the tidbits. For cooked food there was beehoon, noodles, rice,  chicken wings, chicken, sausages, sotong ball, chicken curry, chapchye and uh, i really can't remember. And then there was fruits. Auntie sally so cute, arrange the fruits so nicely haha.

So food aside, when the rest were playing poker, the poker-noobszx stayed in the room to play guitar hero and tennis. It was fun and I went home feeling so bloated and full - which is good.

Yesterday/fifth day of cny/thursday, went over to delly's place to visit her mother, studied one chapter of PR, and then we went grocery shopping and whipped up a good scrumptious meal - korean spicy soup. First attempt but I must say, it was pretty good! Shall cook it for lunch maybe later since I've got all the necessary ingredients, or I might just stick to tomyum or chicken abalone flavoured myojo (my love!). Out later again to Lyd's place, but for now I shall stop blogging and get back to my books!

    Wish me luck for studying!

  • Chinese new year ... what's new? It's the same old routine every single year, from this house to this house to this house to this house, nothing ever changes. Not that it's a bad thing though, but it's not a good thing either.

Chinese new year is money, angbaos, bahkwa, kueh bangkit, tiger beer, steamboat and lots of familiar faces - This year was no exception. Only .. one thing, actually a very big thing, I haven't gambled at all ever since the new year started! Yeah, I know it's a very big thing i'm missing out since CNY is all about blackjack, daidee and all that shizzles but lately, I don't know why but it just doesn't intrigue me anymore, don't know why either. But I'm up for mahjong anytime. I really suck at card games so it's mahjong all the way for me (although I haven't played a game at all during CNY). Instead of card games/mahjong, my hands/fingers are really itching for a game of L4D2 ... what a geek i know!

In a nutshell, first day was waking up at an ungodly hour of 7am, grandfather's house, temple, rifle range road, grandmother's house and then finally back home. Second day was 7am again, temple again, ancestral hall, kim keat road and Nicki's house for dinner and then back home. Third day was (supposed to be) 7am again but in the end I woke up at 11, and then headed to aunt's place for lunch.

    Pom!

What a cute dog right? Pom's 5 months old and he's really active ... kept on humping and humping, was really quite awkward because I'm not really close to my second-cousin who owns him so yeah. In fact, I think throughout my entire life I've spoken less than 10 sentences to him and his family.

That aside, this chinese new year has been really tiring and taxing ... I mean there's not much changes to the yearly routine of visiting but it must be because of the lack of sleep + school + growing old so, stamina not very good. I think by next year I would have aged alot too sigh. Old age is a disease! Oh, and the weather's not helping as well. Always during chinese new year period, the sun would be so scorching hot and the weather would be so humid, at the end of the day, taking like 5 showers won't help too. Always end up sticky/sweaty and angsty.

Exams next week so I guess I better start studying soon. Just spent 2 hours in front of my printer printing my notes and somehow, seeing those clean, freshly printed notes really make me feel like studying .. I know, I'm weird like that but look on the bright side, at least I feel like studying and I'm really motivated to study.

  • Damn pissed off now because firefox crashed on me and the blog post that I spent so many hours on is gone argh why isn't there a recovery function on xanga argh argh argh damn pissed and am damn lazy to start blogging again so I shall just summarize so you get the gist of the entire blog post that disappeared! Anyway, this is going to be a very photoheavy post ... so yeah.

In a nutshell, this week has been amazing with school (almost) out! and projects/assignments/presentations done, the feeling of (partial) liberation is too good to describe, it can't even be described in just mere words. Either way, you get the gist, life's good. Wednesday was final presentation day, failed CNY shopping w delly, indian fine dining and impromptu L4D2.

    L4D2 IS AWESOME!

Nuaed the whole of thursday away cause I only woke up at 2pm, nuaed half of yesterday (friday) away and then headed down to the yacht club for vitty's 21st, which was insanely fun! Brought my DSLR along with me, it has been a really long time since I last brought it out/used it ... met the guys first at the yacht club and then the girls came. We all hid in the yacht's cabin to wait for the birthday girl to arrive w pravs. And then the door opened and surprise!

Oh yeah did I mention we went on a helluva yacht ride it was so fun! Sat in the front and I swear, given the speed of the boat and all the funny stunts and maneuvers it was going, I almost fell into the deep blue sea. But I swear it was so fun! I forgot to bring an extra set of clothes/swimwear so by the end of the night I was drenched and ... I had no shoes, felt so pathetic sighz. But yeah the yacht was friggin awesome!! I want to own a yacht too!!

Farah sent us out of that secluded place to get a cab. Argh, getting a cab was so so so hard last night, I tried almost all the cab companies in Singapore and after 30 minutes of calling and waiting and holding we still couldn't get one! It was so frustrating and exasperating! Cabbed home w jan, bathed because the sea water was ruining my hair, and then d/led vampdiaries and went to sleep.

It was great meeting up w the SA people after so so so long, maybe close to 2 years. Such an awesome feeling to catch up w old friends, made me miss going to SA a little bit, just a little bit. So yeah I was feeling bored today, woke up at 12ish and then looked through my old photobucket account and old desktop harddisk and look what I found!
